Your information, and how we look after it

LoveMyLife Sinclair Companion. Last updated 4 July 2026.

This app is part of your care with LoveMyLife. Below is what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, just ask us.

Who holds your information

LoveMyLife Ltd is the data controller for the information you enter here. You can reach us at info@lovemylife.com, or by post at LoveMyLife Ltd, 19 Primrose Mansions, Prince of Wales Drive, London, SW11 4ED. Our data protection point of contact is Seth Rankin, seth@lovemylife.com. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZC090113.

What we collect

We do not collect your location, and we do not track you across other websites or apps.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use this information to provide your treatment: to remind you about your medication, to show you your progress, and so the doctor looking after you can see how you are doing and adjust your care. Because this is health information, the law treats it with extra care.

Our lawful bases under the UK GDPR are Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in providing you with the care you have asked for, together with, for the health information itself, Article 9(2)(h), the provision of health care by a health professional bound by a duty of confidentiality. Where we rely on your consent for a specific thing, such as telling your GP you are being treated, we will ask you first and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who can see it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing. We only share it further if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

The information you log forms part of your medical record, and we keep it for at least 8 years after your last contact with us, in line with UK guidance on retaining adult health records. If you stop using the app, your record is kept for that period and then securely deleted.

How we protect it

Everything you send travels over an encrypted connection. Passwords are hashed. The database is held in a secure, access-controlled environment in the EU, and only your clinicians can see your records.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it, though where information forms part of your medical record we may need to keep it for the retention period above. You can also object to certain uses, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. To do any of this, contact us at info@lovemylife.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to us, and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

A note while we are in pilot

During our current pilot phase, please use the app for your own genuine care only if we have invited you to, and follow any specific instructions we give you. We will tell you clearly when the app moves out of pilot.
